Taking care of our mental health is as important as taking care of our physical health yet too often the reality of day to day life can cause us to neglect our mental wellbeing. Oxfordshire Resilience Programme aims to offer opportunities to take this time back and focus on good mental health.

We offer a range of workshops and short courses designed to contribute to a high level of positive mental health. We are also pleased to promote other services within Oxfordshire that offer support to people dealing with mental ill health. Together we aim to cultivate resilience and the ability to recognize, understand and maintain positive mental health throughout Oxfordshire.

Employers can also get in touch to discuss the needs of their employees and what workshops/short courses they would like provided to support good mental health at work.

Partner organisations

The Oxfordshire Mental Health Partnership (OMHP) is the coming together of six award-winning, specialist mental health organisations, which includes, Response, Connection Support, Restore, Oxfordshire Mind, Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust and Elmore Community Services.

Each brings with it a specific area of expertise and resource. The Partnership is dedicated to creating positive changes and initiatives that directly improve the lives of people living with mental health illness. To do this, we put the person at the centre of everything. We asked what do people really want and need? What are the key areas where we can deliver, influence and enhance recovery and how can we truly support life-enhancing outcomes?

You can find out about each partner organisation below and visit their websites.

Connection Support

Connection Support provides a breadth of specialist support services to a range of people facing complex life challenges. Our specialist support is tailored around the person and makes a difference to their life now but also provides building blocks to help them help themselves in the future.

We provide flexible and tailored support and advice to a range of adults (young and old) and families in Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Milton Keynes. The support covers housing support, homelessness, isolation, money management, mental health and drug and alcohol abuse. Often service users have multiple issues which means our work with them is all encompassing.

Restore provides opportunities for people – many of whom go on join our governance structure – to grow in confidence, build transferable skills, and prepare for the world of work. We also lead the delivery of the Oxfordshire Recovery College, based at Elder Stubbs, which provides a creative but practical approach to learning prevention and empowerment skills.

The Oxfordshire Recovery College

The Oxfordshire Recovery College is a place of learning, support, and forward-motion.

Students come to us from all walks of life, and find in the college a community of support and shared experiences, from which to draw strength and develop new ideas. We provide courses that aim to help you to take steps towards recovery, or to support someone you know in their own recovery journey.

Our students range from people experiencing poor mental health; friends, family and carers; and professionals supporting people with their mental health, and they all learn together, side by side.

We think it’s important to combine the most up to date knowledge and research with the voice of someone who has lived that story, so all of our courses are designed and delivered by both an Expert by Experience (someone with lived experience) and an Expert by Training (someone with a professional background in that area). We cover a wide range of topics, all relating to recovery, and we try to ensure that there are practical tools that you can take away and use in your day-to-day life.
