Following the success of the first trial in May, Abingdon & Witney College are pleased to announce a second football trial date at Oxford United’s Bangkok Glass Training Complex will take place at 6pm on the 28th of June.
George Crowley, Curriculum Manager at Abingdon & Witney College, said
“The first trial was so successful that we had to organise a second date to give those that were not able to attend a chance to join this fantastic programme. A very high percentage of the trialists who attended the first trial won a place, so I would encourage any school leavers who are interested to come along and give it a go.”
Run in partnership with Abingdon & Witney College, Oxford United's Advanced Football Programme has been designed to provide 16-18 year old's with an amazing opportunity. Not only can they continue their education and study for a recognised sports qualification, but they will do so whilst training with Oxford United’s UEFA B Qualified coaches in their £4.9m sports complex in Oxford. This partnership means talented and aspiring players no longer need to have to choose between football and academic development. Now they can do both.
