This new course is designed for those who wish to learn how to paint in the medium of watercolour. It is a practical and comprehensive course that will teach you the skills and techniques you need to paint in this beautiful and inspiring medium, whilst receiving lots of help and support from your tutor
Explore a variety of washes and use of brushworkLearn how to mix different colours and how to achieve light and shade.Experiment with different watercolour effects to produce creative textures on paper.Receive lots of help and advice through demonstrations from your tutor, plus one to one guidance and creative work within a supportive group setting.Explore and develop your own personal style and painting signature.
What you need to bring to the first session:
A4 watercolour paper padSmall white plate to mix colour on.Jam jar for waterKitchen paperHB pencil and sharpenerEraserYour tutor will advise you of further art materials that you will need as the course progresses
Tea/Coffee are available to make, with a small charge. In order to reduce the use of single-use plastic water bottles/cups, there is a watercooler on site making it easy to refill your water bottle.Free parking.
