This practical and comprehensive course will teach you the skills and techniques you need to paint in this beautiful and inspiring medium, whilst receiving lots of help and support from your tutor. In order to avoid disappointment, it is advisable to enrol at least 2½ weeks prior to the course starting. We will confirm course information two weeks prior to the start date.
This course is designed for those who wish to learn how to paint in the medium of watercolour
You will: Explore a variety of washes and use of brushwork Learn how to mix different colours and how to achieve light and shade. Experiment with different watercolour effects to produce creative textures on paper. Explore and develop your own personal style and painting signature. Receive lots of help and advice through demonstrations from your tutor, plus one to one guidance and creative work within a supportive group setting.
Please do not purchase equipment until your course has been confirmed What you need to bring to the first session: A4 watercolour paper pad Small white plate to mix colour on. Jam jar for water Kitchen paper HB pencil and sharpener Eraser Your tutor will advise you of further art materials that you will need as the course progresses
