The perfect introduction to learning how to play the ukulele. This course is aimed at the total beginner and is designed as a jump-start into performing very simple tunes and to help overcome the most common challenges. Join this entertaining, informative and inspiring course and get your ukulele playing going in a friendly group setting.
On this course you will learn the basics that you need to play simple tunes on a ukulele.
You will cover:• Correct hand placement and posture• Tuning an acoustic ukulele• Introduction to music notation (mainly TAB and chord diagram – some information on music staff reading)• Basic ukulele chords• Basic techniques
By the end of this course you will be able to:• Play along with some modern songs• Read TAB music and chord charts• Have an understanding of the ukulele fretboard• Have a basic understanding of music theory Please note, you will need to bring your own ukulele. There will be no teaching sessions on 23/10/2020 and 30/10/2020
