Then careers in the Public and Protective Services or Sport industry may be just for you! Develop your fitness, teamwork and communication skills in preparation for your career.

This course provides an introduction to the exciting and adventure-driven world of Public and Protective Services and Sport. You will develop knowledge in public and protective service skills, fitness and training, and career planning. Trips, excursions, and visits to important establishments in the industry, such as the Army and the Police, add to your College experience.

This course will help you to develop essential skills and qualities to take you onto the next level of courses in Public and Protective Services, Sport, or apprenticeship or employment.

The course units you will study include;
• Investigate Employment Opportunities in the Uniformed Services
• Well-being and Physical Fitness for the Uniformed Services
• Developing Self-Discipline for the Uniformed Services
• Health and Safety in the Uniformed Services
• Map Reading and Navigation
• Participate in Competitive Sport
Students can progress onto the Level 2 Diploma in Public Services and Sport.
Joining this study programme is subject to a satisfactory interview, GCSEs at grades 1 – 3 and an interest in Uniformed Public Services
A fee of approximately £80 for uniform will need to be paid directly to the supplier. Further information on this will be given during induction.

Study trips and visits linked to modules will be arranged as part of your programme of study. Any applicable fees regarding these trips will be advised at the start of the course.
