A three-week short course that introduces you to the principles of psychology. Psychology involves the study of the human mind and behaviour and can be applied to issues in the world around you.
The course offers you a brief overview of how psychology developed as an academic discipline and provides an introduction to some key principle theories around emotion, development and memory. It is relevant to how we make sense of ourselves and our interactions with others and how we manage our feelings and behaviours in day to day life.
Abingdon and Witney College is subject to Ofsted regulation and is required to work with all its students to make sure they understand Government initiatives around Safeguarding, Prevent and Fundamental British Values. Information on these matters will be shared with you during your course.
You will also be asked to complete monitoring paperwork, which helps us to deliver course content to the highest quality.
