If you have been out of work for a while or looking for a new direction and wish to pursue a career in adult health and social care., then this course can provide you with the foundation knowledge required for the adult social care sector.

During the course you will learn about the different type of job roles and services within the adult social care sector. The role of communication and the importance of valuing the individuals being cared for.

Introduction to the Adult Social Care Sector
Introduction to the values and principles of Adult Social Care
Awareness of the skills and attitudes needed to work in Adult Social Care
Awareness of communication in Adult Social Care
Awareness of the roles and responsibilities of the Adult Social Care worker
Students can progress onto Level 2 Certificate in Health and Social Care.
Students to be aged 19+. No formal entry requirements or interview needed.
As part of your course we may organise trips to assist you with your learning. Trips are optional, and you will not be penalised if you choose not to participate. Bursaries may also available to cover the cost of some trips.
