The course includes all four skills: reading, writing, speaking and listening. The aim of the course is to enable you to function in simple everyday situations by increasing your knowledge in basic areas. You will start to become more confident in your own ability.
You will start to show your improved understanding of how Polish functions in everyday situations through
Main topics:• describing how one feels• describing people• describing environment: classroom, home and city• discussing hobbies, activities, and preferences• describing daily routines• ordering food in a restaurant or café• buying food• booking a taxi and ordering things• numbers, days, months, and dates; simple time expressions
You will expand your repertoire by looking expressly atFunctions:• giving polite orders• making requests• expressing likes and dislikes• describing skills, wishes and plans• giving polite orders
You will start to grasp more complexGrammar:• conjugation of verbs• cases - introduction• personal, possessive and demonstrative pronouns• negation, questions and word order• agreement patterns• adjectives and comparison of adjectives
Please note there will be no teaching sessions on 18/02/2020, 07/04/2020, 14/04/2020, 19/05/2020, 26/05/2020 and 02/06/2020.
There are vending machines available where hot/cold drinks and snacks can be purchased. In order to reduce the use of single-use plastic water bottles/cups, there are watercoolers on site making it easy to refill your water bottle.
There is no parking on site during the day. Please use Marriotts Walk or Woodford Way Car Parks, which are a few minutes’ walk away.
Please report to Reception on arrival.
