This course is for young adults who have an EHCP (Education, Health and Care Plan) and have profound and complex learning difficulties.

Year 1: 5 days a week
Year 2: 4 days a week
Year 3: 3 days a week

The programme is designed and delivered in a supportive environment, aimed at improving communication and meeting their individual academic, therapeutic, personal, and social needs, varying in length and duration determined by the needs outlined in the EHCP.

The provision may also include opportunities to access speech and language therapy, hydrotherapy, physiotherapy, the sensory room, and external/community activities. Students will also benefit from a high student/staff ratio which allows for individual and personalised learning to take place.

Personalised depending on learners needs
At an appropriate time depending on progress made against EHCP outcomes students will transition onto our Independent Living Skills course or adult social care.
Places on these courses are coordinated through the EHCP Consultation process via Oxfordshire County Council SEN team, students will also be assessed during transition meetings to be able to confirm a Pathways placement.

To arrange a visit or find out more information on the Pathways provision please contact our Pathways Transitions Coordinator – carly.foggett@abingdon-witney.ac.uk
Due to COVID-19 we are not currently planning any trips as part of your course. If we are able to organise trips during your course, the cost of these will be communicated to you at the time. Trips are optional, and you will not be penalised if you choose not to participate. Bursaries may also available to cover the cost of some trips.

There are bursaries available to help you with other course costs. Call 01235 216 298 for more information.
