The Entry Level 3 Vehicle Systems Maintenance Course will give you your first experience of working in the motor trade. Through a combination of practical and written assessments, learners will obtain knowledge, skills, and awareness to enable a positive start in their career within the motor trade.

Utilising the state-of-the-art facilities, you will learn and develop your technical practical and academic skills to aid in your career progress. This course centres on a range of units including Engine Operations Chassis and Transmissions, Wheels and Tyres, and Electrical Components. In addition to this, learners will complete other elements of the study programme including assignment workshop, tutorial, English and Maths and Work Experience. This will aid in the progression of our learners not only within college, but in their career development as well.

- Introduction to Vehicle Fuel and Exhaust Systems
- Introduction to Vehicle Spark Ignition Systems
- Introduction to Vehicle Electrical Systems
- Introduction to Vehicle Braking Systems
- Introduction to Vehicle Transmission Systems
- Introduction to Vehicle Steering and Suspension Systems
- Introduction to Vehicle Wheels and Tyres Systems
- Introduction to Principles of Vehicle Body and Interior Cleaning
On successful completion of this course you will be able to apply for the Level 1 Vehicle Systems Maintenance Course.
GCSE grades 1-3 in Maths and English and a successful interview.
In addition to the main course fees there is an additional cost of £340 for tool kits/work wear clothing and £60 for textbooks. There is also a trip fee of £60. (Costs are approximate and given for guidance only.)

Due to COVID-19 we are not currently planning any trips as part of your course. If we are able to organise trips during your course, the cost of these will be communicated to you at the time. Trips are optional, and you will not be penalised if you choose not to participate. Bursaries may also available to cover the cost of some trips.
