This short course offers an introduction to the benefits of Mindfulness - a method of mental training that provides a set of simple, yet powerful practices to help manage the daily stresses of life. It offers ways to break free from some unconscious habits of thinking and behaving that can prevent someone from living life to the full.¿
The five-week course will cover the following topics which will provide the learner with an overview of the benefits of Mindfulness and ways to begin to incorporate mindfulness into daily life.
1. Exploring ways to 'step outside' our troubles and find contentment2. Mindfulness and resilience3. Resisting 'over-thinking'4. Cultivating loving-kindness and compassion5. Weaving mindfulness into your daily life
