This course offers a more in-depth introduction to the benefits of Mindfulness - a method of mental training that provides a set of simple, yet powerful practices to help manage the daily stresses of life. It offers ways to break free from some unconscious habits of thinking and behaving that can prevent someone from living life to the full.
The ten-week course will cover the following topics which will provide the learner with an overview of the benefits of Mindfulness and ways to begin to incorporate mindfulness into daily life.
1. Introducing mindfulness and how it can help manage day-to-day stresses2. Exploring ways to 'step outside' our troubles and find contentment in your life3. Mindfulness and resilience4. Identifying the difference between 'thinking' and about a sensation and 'experiencing' it.5. Mindfulness Movement practices6. Resisting 'over-thinking'7. Managing difficulties that arise in life from time to time8. Cultivating loving-kindness and compassion9. Choosing to do more things that nourish you10. Weaving mindfulness into your daily life
