Add a silver lining to your day at one of our silver jewellery classes. Learn traditional techniques to make Silver jewellery ready to wear home with pride.
The course is completely practical, technique based, aimed at beginners and intermediates looking to improve and develop their skills.
The class size is 10-12 learners. All tools and equipment are provided. Silver is an extra cost and you will be guided where to source the metal by the Tutor. You will learn how to • Solder• saw Pierce using a jeweller’s saw• file• Form/texture/shape metal• Stone setting• sand/cuttle fish casting• polishing
Beginners start with a practical introduction to working with hand tools and base metal on week one and soon progress to working in Silver to produce rings, bangles … Intermediates will continue to develop their skills, will be guided on personal projects, learn stone settings and casting.
Please note there will be no teaching sessions on 23/12/20 and 30/12/20.
