This course is designed for those who learned elementary Japanese grammar and can engage in simple conversation in Japanese. This course intends to improve your Japanese listening and speaking skills and broaden your ability to read and write Japanese in context. This course involves a lot of fun activities with a special focus on situational topics “when you are in Japan”.
In this course, learners will practice applying fundamental grammatical elements they have learned (e.g., Minna no Nihongo I/Genki I level) in context, and both formal and casual situations. The course will focus primarily on conversation skills and will involve a lot of pair/small group work. Grammatical elements will be practiced through a drill, various communication activities, and task-based topics, to support learners' sentence-building skills. The cultural topic will be embedded throughout the course, with a special focus on “when you are in Japan”. The course will be primarily delivered in Japanese.
Please note there will be no teaching sessions on 26/10/2021, 21/12/2021, 28/12/2021, 22/02/2022, 12/04/2022, 19/04/2022 and 31/05/2022
