Are you an aspiring manager? Have you just landed your first supervisory role or are trying to get that first promotion? Are you unsure about how to approach those first steps into management. If so this course is for you as it will aim to boost your confidence about your role in managing others. It will help you set professional boundaries especially important if you have suddenly started to supervise people with whom you have previously worked with at the same level within your organisation.In order to avoid disappointment, it is advisable to enrol at least 2½ weeks prior to the course starting. We will confirm course information two weeks prior to the start date.
We will be covering a wide range of topics such as:
The role of a supervisor/manager
Managing friends and acquaintances setting professional boundaries
Assertive behaviour techniques
Policies and Procedures, why, when, and how should they be employed?
Developing your staff. Please note there will be no teaching sessions: 1st June 2023
