kOrky Paul, international multi-million selling children’s book illustrator, will teach you how to draw and illustrate a double page spread of a children’s picture book as steps towards a presentation package to show prospective publishers (Something he does all the time!).
All workshops will be conducted as an editorial meeting with all learners seated around one large ‘board-room’ style table. No work to be done in the workshops, as many students are reluctant or shy to work in front of others. Also from a practical point of view it is difficult to bring in art materials.
So be prepared, there is lots of homework!
kOrky Paul was born Zimbabwe. He studied Fine Arts at Durban University of Technology, South Africa and Film Animation at CalArts, California. He began his career in advertising before becoming an illustrator of children’s books.
He is best known for illustrating the multi-million selling series, Winnie the Witchpublished in over thirty languages and soon to be a TV series called Winnie and Wilbur on Channel 5 ‘Milkshake’.
