The aim of this course is to provide ongoing inspiration for users of DSLR cameras who would like to have set projects to explore with their cameras on a weekly basis, which they can share, discuss and learn from.
There is an assumption that students will know how to use their cameras, although the occasional technical issue will be discussed.
Toward the end of the course, students will have the option to create a photo book.
The course will follow a programme according to the interests of the group, made up of some of the following subjects:
How photography is used in advertising Balancing images with text Food photography Working with a restricted colour palette Learning lighting from the great masters of art How to represent time in photography David Hockney and “joiners” Minimalist landscapes Silhouette photography Deliberate soft-focus photography
Abingdon and Witney College is subject to Ofsted regulation and is required to work with all its students to make sure they understand Government initiatives around Safeguarding, Prevent and Fundamental British Values. Information on these matters will be shared with you during your course.
You will also be asked to complete monitoring paperwork, which helps us to deliver course content to the highest quality.
