This course follows on from the French beginners A course. The beginners B course is for those who are not complete beginners. The main aim is to help you to ‘get by’ in a French speaking environment. This may be a good place for those “Rusty” beginners who have learned very little French but have also got the confidence to work at a slightly faster pace than the French beginners A course.
In order to avoid disappointment, it is advisable to enrol at least 2½ weeks prior to the course starting. We will confirm course information two weeks prior to the start date.
You will become more confident in spoken French in a range of everyday situations covering topics relevant to both home and work life including:
• relationships• daily routine• food• transport and holidays
You will build on the introduction to basic grammar covered in the previous course and deepen your ability to understand and apply a range of grammatical concepts including tenses and word order. You will also be looking at and picking out the main points from short texts on contemporary subjects.
Please note there will be no teaching sessions on: 05/04/23, 12/04/23, 31/05/23.
Tea/Coffee are available to make, with a small charge. There is a watercooler on site making it easy to refill your water bottle. Free parking.
Abingdon and Witney College is subject to Ofsted regulation and is required to work with all its students to make sure they understand Government initiatives around Safeguarding, Prevent and Fundamental British Values. Information on these matters will be shared with you during your course.
You will also be asked to complete monitoring paperwork, which helps us to deliver course content to the highest quality.
