The main aim is to help you to ‘get by’ in a French speaking environment. This may be a good place for those “Rusty” beginners who have learned very little French or absolute beginners who have picked up some of the language either on holiday or through work and want to start to expand their knowledge base.
You will become more confident in spoken French in a range of everyday situations covering topics relevant to both home and work life including:• relationships• daily routine• food• transport and holidays
You will build on the introduction to basic grammar covered in the previous course and deepen your ability to understand and apply a range of grammatical concepts including tenses and word order. You will also be looking at and picking out the main points from short texts on contemporary subjects.
Please note there will be no teaching sessions on 18/02/2020, 07/04/2020, 14/04/2020, 19/05/2020, 26/05/2020 and 02/06/2020.
There are vending machines available where hot/cold drinks and snacks can be purchased. In order to reduce the use of single-use plastic water bottles/cups, there are watercoolers on site making it easy to refill your water bottle.
There is no parking on site during the day. Please use Marriotts Walk or Woodford Way Car Parks, which are a few minutes’ walk away.
Please report to Reception on arrival.
Abingdon and Witney College is subject to Ofsted regulation and is required to work with all its students to make sure they understand Government initiatives around Safeguarding, Prevent and Fundamental British Values. Information on these matters will be shared with you during your course.
You will also be asked to complete monitoring paperwork, which helps us to deliver course content to the highest quality.
