It is planned that this course will be running online, using Teams, for the Autumn Term. This may change, depending on Government guidelines.
If you speak reasonably confidently and can use a variety of tenses, you may wish to take your language skills a step further and speak more fluently using a wider range of vocabulary. This class is flexible, fun and relaxed and aims to provide a supportive environment in which you can make mistakes and learn together.
The course will cover a wide variety of topics and learners may have particular areas of interest that we could discuss. For example, we may talk about the latest health advances, discrimination and prejudice, art and architecture.Grammar will be introduced where there are perceived gaps or misunderstandings and a better understanding will be gained over the course.
Please note there will be no teaching sessions on 28/10/2020, 17/02/2021, 07/04/2021, 14/04/2021 and 02/06/2021. For Christmas break, you will be advised by your teacher of the actual dates.
Abingdon and Witney College is subject to Ofsted regulation and is required to work with all its students to make sure they understand Government initiatives around Safeguarding, Prevent and Fundamental British Values. Information on these matters will be shared with you during your course.
You will also be asked to complete monitoring paperwork, which helps us to deliver course content to the highest quality.
