This is a perfect course for the total beginner and for those with some portrait drawing experience.
Initially we will be looking at structure, proportion, features and hair and the drawing of hands will feature.
We will consider how to capture the 'essence and character' of a person whether they are old or young.
We will be working with live models and also from photographic resources. Initially we will be working in black and white with charcoal and pencil, later the course will progress to coloured pencils, inks, pastels and watercolour.
This is an inspiring new course which is suitable for all levels of ability.
Please note there will be no teaching sessions on 27/05/2020.
Tea/Coffee are available to make, with a small charge.
In order to reduce the use of single-use plastic water bottles/cups, there is a watercooler on site making it easy to refill your water bottle.
Free parking.
There are no additional course material fees.
For the first session you will need to bring; • A3 and/orA4 sketchbook• selection of ‘B’ pencils.
During the course the tutor will advise on further materials you may need.
