Drawing On - improvers A is the fourth part of a two-year long, six term drawing course. You can regard the course as a whole or use different terms as a stand-alone course.
This course facilitates, through active self-discovery, the acquisition of new drawing skills and techniques and an improvement in drawing ability.
In order to avoid disappointment, it is advisable to enrol at least 2½ weeks prior to the course starting. We will confirm course information two weeks prior to the start date.
On this course you will learn:
- Explore mark-making, drawing techniques and drawing in tone. - The effects of compositional dynamics and the Golden Section. - Draw gesturally. - How to use ink with a brush and/or quill. - Draw draped fabric.
For the first session you will need an A4 and/or A3 sketchbook, (preferably both), a selection of preferred drawing materials, ‘B’ pencils, graphite chunks, willow charcoal, putty rubber and pencil eraser, fine drawing pen.
Please note there are no sessions on 27/10/2021.
Tea/Coffee are available to make, with a small charge. To reduce the use of single-use plastic water bottles/cups, there is a watercooler on site making it easy to refill your water bottle.Free parking.
