This course will help you extend your drawing skills and gain confidence in your ability to produce realistic pieces of work in a relaxed and friendly learning environment. You will be encouraged to experiment with a range of materials and techniques.
During the course you will improve your line and mark making techniques, use charcoal, draw eclipses and develop a basic understanding of perspective and working on more complex compositions, as well as researching other artists work to gain inspiration.
• Use various materials by mark making; line, shape, tone and texture• How to measure shapes, proportion and positioning on paper• How to draw in perspective• How to use charcoal• How to extend pieces of drawing work
Do not buy any materials until your course is confirmed as running.
For the first session please bring:• A4 or A3 drawing pad (cartridge paper) • Set of drawing pencils from HB – 9B• Charcoal and fixative, or hairspray• A putty rubber and a firmer drawing rubber• Pencil sharpener
Please note there will be no sessions on 23/12/2020, 30/12/2020, 06/01/2020.
Tea/Coffee are available to make, with a small charge. In order to reduce the use of single-use plastic water bottles/cups, there is a watercooler on site making it easy to refill your water bottle.Free parking.
