Create your own unique self-portrait. You are encouraged to experiment with a variety of materials and techniques and find your strength. A course designed to help you to improve your skills, while presenting new challenges, ideas and approaches.
Enthusiasm and commitment are essential and more important than formal qualifications.
Main topics covered: • The proportions of the human head.• Drawing of a self-portrait in basic shape and proportions.• Techniques of modern artists related to a self-portrait.• Visual language in relation to art project: line, pattern, shape and form, tonal value, colour, texture.• Colour theory.• The basic rules of using guidelines to help position a portrait correctly.• Self-portrait painting in gouache with a modern abstract perspective.
Please note there will be no teaching sessions on 25/12/20 and 1/1/21
