Do you have your own or are you thinking about setting up a professional dog walking business and would like an offical qualifcation to give you the competitive edge? Or do you want to know more about your own dog's behaviour and gain some tips for a safer walking experience. Then this course may be just what you are looking for.

This is a two day intensive course leading to an accredited professional qualification which will allow you to gain the practical skills and knowledge that are important for working as a professional dog walker. The written and practical assessment elements of the course will take place on the second day.

You will cover roles and responsibilities of a professional dog walker; legislation and codes of conduct; dog breeds and behaviour; walking and controlling a dog; problems, injuries and emergencies.

You could progress onto a level 3 qualification or another certificate in technical competence such as pet sitting, animal health, husbandry and handling
You should have previous experience working with and walking dogs

As part of your course we may organise trips to assist you with your learning. Trips are optional, and you will not be penalised if you choose not to participate. Bursaries may also available to cover the cost of some trips.
