The Level 2 Computing course will help you take your first steps towards a career in the Digital Technology industry. Through a combination of practical experience and written assignments, the course provides learners with the knowledge, skills and understanding needed for a successful career in this fast-paced industry sector.

Using our state-of-the-art facilities, you will learn a range of technical, practical and academic skills in order to prepare you for a career in the industry, an apprenticeship or further study. The course focuses on common computer applications and the technical skills valued by employers in the workplace, including; The Online World, Technology Systems, Digital Portfolio, Database Development and Software Development; which will enable you to become a vocationally trained and an adaptable individual in this challenging and fast-moving industry.

- Unit 1: The Online World (Exam) - Unit 2: Technology Systems (Exam) - Unit 3: A Digital Portfolio - Unit 9: Spreadsheet Development - Unit 10: Database Development - Unit 12: Software Development - Unit 15: Installing and Maintaining Computer Software - Unit 17: Multimedia Products Development
You have different options. You can progress to the T Level in Digital Production, Design and Development, go into an Apprenticeship or study an alternative level 3 qualification within Further Education.
Minimum of 4 GCSEs grade 3 (including maths and English.)
In addition to the main course fees there is an additional cost of £40 for textbooks. There is also a trip fee of £60. (Costs are given for guidance only.)

As part of your course we may organise trips to assist you with your learning. Trips are optional, and you will not be penalised if you choose not to participate. Bursaries may also available to cover the cost of some trips.
