This qualification has been developed to support learners to develop digital skills within a life-related context. It is based on the Essential Digital Skills Framework.

This ten-week course is designed for people with no basic digital skills in the following five areas:

1. Managing information
2. Problem solving
3. Communicating
4. Creating
5. Transacting

The course will support learners to gain confidence to use digital skills and/or devices for personal and leisure purposes. It will enable them to use these digital skills and/or devices to communicate and share information with family and friends.

It will help adults overcome barriers that can exist due to a lack of digital skills such as missing out on significant savings that may be available through online transactions for example.

Please note there will be no teaching sessions on 23/10/2020 or 30/10/2020.

There are vending machines available where hot/cold drinks and snacks can be purchased. In order to reduce the use of single-use plastic water bottles/cups, there are watercoolers on site making it easy to refill your water bottle.
There is no parking on site during the day. Please use Marriotts Walk or Woodford Way Car Parks, which are a few minutes’ walk away.
Please report to Reception on arrival.
