A digital photography course for owners of a DSLR camera or those that have a camera that allows users FULL manual control – please check your camera’s manual for details if you are unsure. This course is designed for complete beginners though photographers with some experience may find it useful to refresh their memory of certain techniques.
In order to avoid disappointment, it is advisable to enrol at least 2½ weeks prior to the course starting. We will confirm course information two weeks prior to the start date.
The course aims to get you to a level where you can confidently grasp the fundamentals of DSLR Photography. During the course you will:
Explore the camera’s functions.
Look at the technical side of photography.
Look at what is needed to create the perfect picture.
Explore the more creative side and open your photographer’s eye.
By the end of the course you will have had the opportunity to:
Understand how your camera works.
Recognise the relationship between shutter speed, ISO and aperture, composition, focusing white balance, image quality.
