Being able to provide a consistently high level of customer service is very important to all businesses. Employers across all sectors, regardless of whether their main business is customer service or if they wish to train staff to undertake customer service as part of their job role, need to up skill their workforce and recruit new staff. This apprenticeship focuses on raising customer service skills within the workplace through learning and understanding the key concepts of customer service and how to apply this knowledge to the workplace.

Apprentices will learn how to build relationships with customers, resolve problems or promote products using appropriate communication channels. Training will also be provided in keeping records, gathering feedback and working in a team, as well as improving customer satisfaction and loyalty. At higher levels you will learn how to start developing team leading skills and improve your understanding of more complex customer service matters.

Successful completion of this apprenticeship could lead to work-based study at a higher level or full-time permanent employment.
No formal entry requirements. Applicants are likely to have 4 GCSEs A*-C/9-4 or equivalent, and will need to be able to demonstrate the capability to achieve all elements of the apprenticeship during their programme, including working in a suitable job role.
