Have you always wanted to write but never found the time or the inspiration to get started? Are you looking to try creative writing to see where it takes you? Then this is the course for you!Your teacher will provide a warm and welcoming workspace where you will have the opportunity to try different techniques, for fiction and non-fiction writing.This course follows on from Part 1, but you are welcome to join this course even if you missed Part 1.
In order to avoid disappointment, it is advisable to enrol at least 2½ weeks prior to the course starting. We will confirm course information two weeks prior to the start date.
We will be going into greater dept for some of these topics already covered in Part 1, but content can be adapted according to your specific needs and interests:
Using writing prompts to get started.Writing fiction.Writing non-fiction.Descriptive writing.Narrative writing.Exposition writing.Writing from different perspectives.Writing to persuade.Writing short stories.Writing memoir.Writing biography.Structuring writing.Language techniques.
Please note there will be no teaching sessions on 16/02/2023.
Tea/Coffee are available to make, with a small charge. There is a watercooler on site making it easy to refill your water bottle.Free parking.
