This course is designed to suit your individual needs, whether a novice or more experienced in drawing and painting. You will have the opportunity to explore a variety of classical methods and contemporary approaches, whilst covering a range of art and design techniques using a range of media. You will be able to receive constructive support from you tutor and peers to further develop your technical skills and creativity.
In order to avoid disappointment, it is advisable to enrol at least 2½ weeks prior to the course starting. We will confirm course information two weeks prior to the start date.
On this course you will:
• Explore creative processes of art project development.• Enjoy working with different materials and techniques to suit your needs.• Explore use of line, tone, composition, pattern, shape, tonal value, colour and texture.• Express your creative ideas through group discussions. • Explore and develop your personal style.
What you need to bring to each session:A2/A3 sketch book or cartridge paper 160 gramsA range of pencils eg, HB, 2B, 4BEraserSharpener
Your tutor will advise you of any other materials you may need as the course progresses.
Please note there will be no teaching sessions on: 01/05/2023 & 29/05/2023.
There are vending machines available where hot/cold drinks and snacks can be purchased. There are watercoolers on site making it easy to refill your water bottle.There is no parking on the campus during the day. Please use Marriotts Walk or Woodford Way Car Parks which are a few minutes’ walk away.Please report to Reception on arrival. A photo-id will be issued, for you to wear when you attend classes.
