This course is for beginners looking for a first introduction to AutoCAD and are looking to develop their AutoCAD skills to a nationally recognised standard. It is a cross industry course, suitable for those working in the Construction, Mechanical, Engineering and Manufacturing industries.

Our Introductory CAD course provide students with a basic knowledge of AutoCAD's interface, menu options, toolbars and operational commands. The beginners course includes the opportunity for students to observe the implementation of professional drafting projects and learn how to create their own 2D designs. Basic skills include drawing, editing, layering and plotting.

On successful completion of this course learners can progress onto; CAD, AutoCAD, Advanced 2D Computer Aided Design
It is recommended that you have:
• a good knowledge of Windows based computers
• a good understanding of English & Maths
Trips and visits may be offered as part of your programme of study but these will be optional and fees will be collected throughout the duration of the course. Details of cost will be provided during the enrolment process if not already above.
