This course is designed for those who have completed the introduction course or who have basic carpentry skills. The next step enhances your skills and will enable some to attempt basic home maintenance tasks.

Making up a frame to the door and fitting the door with hinges
Cutting a lock for the door
Building a stud partition wall
Fitting a frame into a stud wall
Hanging a door in a frame
Fixing doorstops
Fixing architrave
Scribing in skirting

None, but you must wear steel toe capped footwear in the workshop
Due to COVID-19 we are not currently planning any trips as part of your course. If we are able to organise trips during your course, the cost of these will be communicated to you at the time. Trips are optional, and you will not be penalised if you choose not to participate. Bursaries may also available to cover the cost of some trips.
