Kick-start your career in the world of carpentry with our apprenticeship
Carpenters carry out skilled work, primarily using timber products, either on a construction site, or in a workshop, creating and installing building components. Roles are usually identified as either Site Carpentry or Architectural Joinery.Site Carpenters normally work on a building site or in homes or commercial premises. They will prepare and fix building components from construction of new buildings through to installation or fixtures and fittings, they might also carry out a wide range of repair and maintenance jobs.An Architectural Joiner will usually be based in a workshop, making timber-based building components and architectural products, such as doors, windows, units and staircases. These will then be transported to a construction site where they’ll be installed by site carpenters.
