Business Level 2

The course is made up of a range of industry driven topics to fully prepare students for their next steps. These include:• Enterprise in the Business World • Finance for Business • Recruitment and Selection • Introducing Project Management • Providing Business Support • Principles of Marketing • Business Documentation • Building Successful Teams

Naturally, the next step is the T Level in Business Management and Administration, an apprenticeship or alternative Level 3 programmes.

4 GCSES at Grade 3 including English or Maths, or a Level 1 pass in a related subject plus a Grade 3 in either English or Maths. Both English and Maths must be at least Grade 2/Level 1 Functional Skills.

Study trips and visits linked to modules will be arranged as part of your programme of study. These normally include an induction trip and visits to retail outlets and large business organisations. Any applicable fees regarding these trips will be advised at the start of the course. As part of your course we may organise trips to assist you with your learning. Trips are optional, and you will not be penalised if you choose not to participate.

BTEC Level 2 Certificate in Business as part of the Transition Programme.

The Level 2 Transition Programme in Business includes the BTEC Level 2 Certificate in Business which uses a blend of assessment methods including reports, assignments, presentations and exams. Extended Work Experiences plays an important role in the Transition Programme.

This course provides students with the opportunity to develop the essential skills required to progress into the business or similar industry. As part of your programme, you will develop the following transferable skills in collaboration with local and regional employers:•Working within a business enviroment (As part of an industry placement)• Working collaboratively with others• Resilience and problem solving• Effective communication• Using your initiative and decision making
