The VTCT Level 2 Certificate in Barbering (QCF) is a vocational qualification that has been designed to develop a limited number of barbering skills to a high level of occupational ability and will prepare you to enter the men's hairdressing sector as a unisex hairdresser.
This qualification includes the units to prepare you to work effectively as a junior barber, including: client consultation for hair services, cutting men's hair, cutting facial hair and following health and safety in the salon. This qualification will develop you knowledge, understanding and skills to enable you to advise and consult with men on the type of hair cut and facial hair shaping the way they want, but just as importantly what is suitable for them. You will also learn how to work in a safe manner throughout the service protecting both yourself and your clients. During the course there will be guest lecturers from industry providing you with the latest skills and techniques used in industry.
