The internationally-recognised AAT (Association of Accounting Technicians) qualifications enable those working in accounting to gain knowledge, practical experience and that all-important certification.

The Advanced Diploma in Accounting qualification is a potential stepping stone for students into employment, further education or training and may be suited to students studying part time alongside employment, or to those already working in finance. This qualification will also suit those looking to gain the skills required to move into a career in finance as it provides a clear pathway towards a successful career in accounting and finance. On completion, students can progress to take the AAT Professional Diploma in Accounting.

Our AAT courses are intense programmes of study that will enable you to move forward quickly in your career. This course is available in two study options - one option is to attend for one day per week during term time, or a second option is to attend two evenings a week during term time.

Modules of study include:

• Advanced Bookkeeping
• Final Accounts Preparation
• Management Accounting: Costing
• Indirect tax
• Ethics for Accounting
• Spreadsheets for Accounting
The accountancy and finance knowledge developed in this qualification is also the underpinning knowledge needed for the higher level accountancy and financial skills developed in the AAT Advanced and Professional Accounting qualifications:

• AAT Advanced Diploma in Accounting
• AAT Professional Diploma in Accounting.
• Oxford Brookes University BSc in Applied Accounting

This qualification produces UCAS points which can lead onto a university course.
Level 2 AAT Foundation Certificate in Accounting and a tutor reference.
Home/EU Tuition TBA. Please see the college website for up to date fees www.abingdon-witney.ac.uk. International Tuition fee is considerably more.

Extra Costs; Students will require text books to support their study within each unit. These are priced at £11.70 for each tutorial book and £7.15 for each workbook directly from Osborne Books (subject to change).

AAT registration is required to sit the examinations. This includes £41 one-off initial registration administration fee and £90 subscription fee (payable yearly). This is paid directly to AAT (subject to change).

The exam fees for a first sitting are included in the tuition fee. However, resits are charged at the relevant AAT exam entry fee plus a £10 Abingdon & Witney College admin fee (subject to change).

(All prices are correct at the time of printing).

Trips and visits may be offered as part of your programme of study but these will be optional and fees will be collected throughout the duration of the course. Details of cost will be provided during the enrolment process if not already above.
