Trips galore for new college students!

As the new academic year begins for the latest cohort of Abingdon & Witney College students, so does the range of awesome trips they get to go on!

These research trips are fantastic opportunities to meet new classmates and staff, improve a range of skills like teamwork and communication, and also see the inner workings of the industry they are interested in.

First up, our Computing and Games Development students spent a few days in Dusseldorf and Cologne in Germany as part of the College’s annual visit to gamescom and Phantasialand:

There were outdoor adventures aplenty for the Sport and Public Services students, this time a little closer to home in the New Forest. Boot Camp is an exciting and physical start to the their studies and a brilliant way for everyone to get to know each other:

Students from our Health Care and Early Years courses also got involved in some physical activities, spending a few team building days with the National Citizens Service:

And finally, 126 (!) Art and Design students took a more relaxing but no less interesting trip to London to visit the V&A Museum:
