Polish school students get a glimpse into College life

A group of 43, 10-14-year-old Polish students from schools in Wrocław in Poland visited the College recently as part of an exchange programme.

It was the first school or college that the students had visited in Oxfordshire, led by their teacher Jola Ziemba, who has been bringing students over to visit England for the past nine years.

Spending a week in and around Oxford, they were experiencing everything the city has to offer, especially the vibrant drama and performance scene as they were seeking inspiration for their own show back in their home city, which officially twinned with Oxford in October.

Their time at the College included spending time with our Beauty and Make-up Artistry students in the salons, using the sports hall for games, an art and design workshop activity, editing videos in the Media suite, and speaking with the performing arts students.

The College clearly had a positive impact on the visitors, saying that the place was “magical” and asking when they could come back again!

Meanwhile, the College’s media students will be getting the red-carpet treatment in return when they visit Wrocław in February 2019.
