Oxfordshire gets biggest ever English and Maths adult learning offering

There has never been a better time to study for an English or Maths adult learning qualification, with Abingdon & Witney College rolling out its biggest ever Adult Learning offer in more locations than ever before.

Skills and Learning Delivery Manager Joe Carter commented “Given how much we use it, everybody has a right to study English and Maths. We are proud of our course offering for next year and can’t wait to get started delivering what are really fundamental skills”.

Our learning centres encompass most of Oxfordshire including sites in Oxford, Banbury, Abingdon, Witney, Berinsfield, Bicester, Grove, Didcot and Kidlington. Courses take place at a range of times and dates so there really is something for everyone whatever your level.

Functional Skills are the essential maths skills vital for adults to participate in life, learning and work. Our courses provide you with good number, measure, shape, space and data handling skills and the ability to use these skills in everyday situations. Functional Maths courses can be used as preparation for GCSE Mathematics and are available at a full range of levels. We offer classes during the day and evening, in accessible venues across Oxfordshire. All classes are free if you don’t already hold a C grade or above at GCSE in this subject and we can find the right qualification for you. Groups are friendly and focused on learning.

Courses are free so what are you waiting for? Apply now and make the most of you.

Any student wishing to enrol on an English or Maths adult learning course has an initial assessment session first. Applications can be made online and you will then be contacted by a faculty administrator to arrange your assessment session.
