A job in this industry requires dedication, a passion for horse welfare and of course plenty of hard work, but the rewards of such a job are great. The equine world is very diverse and holding the required skills and recognised qualifications can set you on track towards a huge variety of careers including work as a groom, stud assistant, instructor or coach.

Award-winning equine programme

The equine yard at our Common Leys Farm campus has long been held in high regard within the industry.

Within our stable yard, arenas and classrooms, students are taught by staff in small groups for practical development. Dependent on your course, a normal day could involve yard duties, developing handling and routine care skills, riding practice in one of the outdoor arenas, running competitions and studying anatomy and physiology in our purpose-built science labs!
