A short course that can support the practical and emotional challenges associated with change and life after caring.
By the end of this short course the learner will have had an opportunity to: explore ways of managing feelings of guilt and loss; recognise they are living with ‘Option B’; learn how to communicate their needs, wants and feelings; consider what they might want to do next and begin to appreciate their skills and attributes.
There are no entry requirements for this course.
Enrolment numbers to our courses are reviewed regularly. To avoid disappointment it is advised to enrol early. Courses with low enrolment numbers two weeks prior to the course start date are at risk of getting cancelled. On the first session of the course you will be required to bring along one form of identification such as a passport, driving licence, debit/credit card, Birth Certificate or National Insurance card.
Please Note: Students should be 19 or over at 31st August 2017.

Informal methods of assessment will be used such as observation and feedback.

Learners can progress onto further learning opportunities, volunteering or employment as they begin to identify what they might want to do following their role as a carer.
This course is free of charge
Trips and visits may be offered as part of your programme of study but these will be optional and fees will be collected throughout the duration of the course. Details of cost will be provided during the enrolment process if not already above.
