Spend a weekend learning the techniques involved in making a stained glass panel using the lead and copper foil techniques. An additional cost is payable on the day.

An additional cost of approximately £10 for the use of the tutor's personal equipment such as drawing paper, pins, scissors, cleaning wipes, white spirits, glass crates, kitchen paper, cutting boards is payable on the day . The student is also required to pay for materials such as glass, solder, copper foil for their own projects. This cost will depend on the size of the object you make.
The materials fee paid direct to the College along with the tuition fee is set at £1 per hour and covers equipment belonging to the tutor such as grinders and replacement parts, glass cutters and replacement parts pliers and other tools, soldering irons, electrical safety equipment.
The tutor always has a box of offcuts which can be used either free or very low cost.
Should you wish to work on a panel for a particular window at home please bring the measurements with you.

Learners with all levels of expreince and ability are welcome. There are no entry requirements for this course.
Enrolment numbers to our courses are reviewed regularly. To avoid disappointment it is advised to enrol early. Course viability decisions are made two weeks prior to the course start date. Any course changes are communicated via email so please ensure you check your email accounts running up to the course start date.
On the first week of the course you will be required to bring along one form of identification. This could be a passport, driving licence, debit/credit card, Birth Certificate or National Insurance card.
Please Note: Students should be 19 years old or over at 31st August 2018.
As this course is not accredited informal methods of assessment will be used
1 to 1 support.
