This is a photography course for owners of a DSLR camera or those that have a camera that allows users FULL manual control. (Please check your camera’s manual for details if you are unsure.) This course is designed for complete beginners, though photographers with some experience may find it a useful course to refresh their memory on certain techniques.
The course aims to get learners to a level where they can confidently grasp the fundamentals of DSLR Photography. During the course you will explore the camera’s functions, look at the technical side of photography and what is needed to create the perfect picture. You will then have the opportunity to explore the more creative side and open your photographer’s eye. There may be an opportunity for learners to print their work and have their portfolio reviewed. Please note that this comes as an additional expense. Abingdon and Witney College is subject to Ofsted visits and have a responsibility to ensure we meet/exceed their requirements. As a result of this you will find you will be expected to understand the government initiatives around Safeguarding, Prevent and Fundamental British Values as well as complete quality monitoring paperwork as part of the course.
