Learn the techniques needed to create personalised items for around your home such as bags, cushions and simple curtain panels.
This course will give an introduction to the skills needed to use a sewing machine effectively e.g. adjusting tensions, bobbin threading and changing the needle. You will use these skills to create a range of personalised items for your home.

This course is suitable for complete beginners or people with some prior knowledge and experience.
There are no entry requirements for this course.
Enrolment numbers to our courses are reviewed regularly. To avoid disappointment it is advised to enrol early. Course viability decisions are made two weeks prior to the course start date. Any course changes are communicated via email so please ensure you check your email accounts running up to the course start date.
On the first week of the course you will be required to bring along one form of identification. This could be a passport, driving licence, debit/credit card, Birth Certificate or National Insurance card.

There is a another course planned for next term, Alternatively you could use and expand on the skills learnt on this course to enrol on one of our dressmaking courses. Please see courses on the website and in our latest prospectus.
