Enterprising students 'Take the Plunge' & compete for best new business idea - An exciting new business enterprise training programme, involving 120 students from Abingdon and Witney College, is being held at the Unipart Conference Centre, Cowley, over three days next week from Monday 29th June - Wednesday 1st July. Local student wins 2nd place at UK finals - Local Beauty Therapy student, Wendy Campbell (37), won second place in the live final of the World Skills UK - Beauty Therapy Competition yesterday, as one of eight finalists from across the country. She was awarded with a certificate and Silhouette voucher worth £75, as her prize. Read more
A ‘Fresh Start’ for students in Oxfordshire as David Cameron opens new Academy - The Rt Hon David Cameron MP for Witney will open Oxfordshire’s Fresh Start Academy at Common Leys Farm, Hailey, at 4.00pm on Friday 24th October, on behalf of Abingdon and Witney College.
