Abingdon Campus Open Day 2011

If you need to start thinking about where you will be after Year 11, then let us help.........

We are holding an Open Afternoon on Wednesday 9th November, 3 - 7pm, on our Abingdon Campus. Please come along - and bring your parents - to talk to teachers and course leaders about the courses we offer. We have amazing facilities like our Beauty Salons, Engineering Workshops, Sports Hall, Media Suite and Art & Design studios which will all be open to have a look round.

Or if you are studying a course that you are no longer sure about at school and would like talk  to us about a change, please feel free to drop in and talk over your options.

To give you an idea of what will be happening..... The Media Department will be showcasing the facilities available to students, with hands-on activities and showreels running throughout the day.

·        Edit 1 A-Level Adverts/Public Service videos display

·        Edit 3 Music Videos show reel

·        Edit 4 Animation show reel

·        Edit 5 SFX and action sequence videos

·        TV Gallery Want to work in TV? Guests will be encouraged to take part in the creation of a TV programme, produced during the Open Day. A hands on experience that includes mixing video, audio and VT.

·        Studio Prefer to be in front of the camera? Head to our studio area and test your presenting skills. OR… Camera shy? Perhaps Camera operator is the role for you? Provide shots for our Gallery crew!

·        Radio Station “The Beat” (college radio network) will be broadcasting throughout the Abingdon and Witney Campuses during the Open Day. Guests will be invited to join the crew and present a section of the show.
