The main role of the Board is to determine the strategic direction of the College and members have a shared corporate responsibility, in a non-executive role, for:

• Determining the College’s educational character, mission, vision and ethos
• Approving the annual budget and 3 year financial plan and for ensuring solvency, financial probity and safeguarding of assets
• Approving retention and achievement targets, raising standards and monitoring academic achievement
• Setting a framework of pay and conditions for all staff.
